Members of PYA along with Councillor Neil Thomas met at Wordsworth Park to view the state of the park as well as completing a survey being carried out by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.

We noticed issues such as the uneven terrain, especially near the goal posts (there is only one), as well as the lack of play equipment and facilities for young people.  After sharing and discussing our thoughts with the group we each completed the survey in which we highlighted our personal concerns and our wishes for the park.  As a group we thought that there should be another official entrance, more plants, a functional football pitch and a safer and usable play area.  We also received feedback from local residents who agreed on some of our ideas such as the play equipment, however disagreed on the youth shelter because of concerns about the noise.
