One of the main areas of work for PYA recently has been to raise awareness of The Kymin.  We have undertaken a very detailed survey and 263 young people told us their views (thank you to all those that did!) Please see the summary document attached.  As part of the consultation

we wanted to find out what young people would like to do their and some of the most popular suggestions were: concerts & festivals; themed activities; outdoor activities; and a community art space.  We submitted a report to the town council with a detailed explanation of the results but we also wanted to do something ourselves.

PYA always attend the Summer Carnival in Penarth but this year we wanted to do something different. We decided to run a community art mural workshop.  Not only would the mural continue to raise awareness of The Kymin, but we would encourage children and young people to get involved and be creative, as well as promoting PYA.  We would like to thank everyone that got involved and also the artists who helped us on the day.  We are so happy with the mural and hopefully you will see it on display in Penarth very soon!
