Our new PYA Chair and Vice Chair have completed their Chair training! We took part in joint training with Llantwit Youth Council (LYC) and Youth Cabinet (YC). It was great to learn about the different councils and how they work. We also got to learn a bit more about what work LYC and YC have been doing and what they plan to do next. This will help us to all work together on any joint projects that might come up!
During the chair training we learned more about Penarth Town Council, our job roles and responsibilities, how to chair a meeting successfully and how we can overcome problems and barriers as young people with our meetings.
We had a lot of fun and we are looking forward to putting our training into practice in our next PYA meeting!
