Penarth Youth Action attended the Penarth Carnival Weekender on Saturday 15th July.

At the event we had a stall where we carried out a consultation to find out people’s views about Penarth. We were very pleased with the success of this activity. We encouraged members of the public to write what they liked about Penarth on top templates and what they would like to see improved on pant templates.  We then hung them up throughout the day on the washing line above our stall.  It was so successful that we ran out of tops and pants! We also had leaflets and posters that we distributed to other stalls and members of the public, with the aim of raising awareness about Penarth Youth Action and encouraging more representation. The chair of PYA also promoted the group on stage, speaking with the Bro Radio presenters.  Overall the event was a great opportunity to speak to members of the public and we’re looking forward to working on the results of the consultation next term.
