The Paget Rooms has a storied history, acting as a theatre and dance hall up until 1949 when it became a privately owned cinema. When it returned to public ownership under Penarth Town Council in 1977, the property became used for a variety of activities, acting as the town hall and being used by a number of different community groups.
In recent times, The Paget Rooms has returned to its performance roots, hosting many shows as well as being used for filming by the likes of Netflix for its hit show, Sex Education.
With a maximum capacity of up to 450 people standing, 238 people seated theatre style and 120 people seated cabaret style downstairs*. Thee venue is perfect for wedding receptions, large parties, conferences, workshops and concerts as well as craft fairs and charity events. *Capacity is based on layout of your event.
The Paget Rooms is a licenced premise, with Penarth Town Council able to provide an attractive and competitive drinks offer to hirers. Please note the bar is operated by the Council and is card only.
