Penarth Town Council’s Facilities and Open Spaces Development Officer, Mark Hooper, has brought some festive cheer to the West House Community Garden with a handmade Chriamas sleigh crafted from reclaimed wood.
Blending creativity with environmental consciousness, the sleigh underscores the council’s commitment to sustainability. This festive addition enhances the garden, which remains a welcoming space for the whole community to enjoy throughout the year.
The Mayor of Penarth, Cllr Gwenda Roberts, remarked: “The West House Community Garden is a space for everyone, and Mark’s beautifully crafted sleigh adds a touch of festive magic for all to enjoy. It’s heartwarming to see how reclaimed materials can be given new life in such a creative way, bringing smiles to residents this Christmas season.”
The sleigh is now proudly on display, ready to delight visitors young and old who may even spot Rudolph taking a break nearby!
