All welcome – free entry!
Penarth Apple Day is organised by community volunteers from Penarth. But we also need your help! Would you be able to help with any of the following? If so, please drop us a line at penarthappleday@gmail.com
🍏 Volunteer on the day
We’ll need all hands on deck on the day! Including on the apple juicing and cake & cuppa stalls, to decorate the centre and outside space, hold a quick survey, and more.
🍎 Bring your apples to press into fresh juice
Have you got an apple tree in your garden or allotment? Bring your spares to press on the day. Are you struggling to pick them? Send us a message and we can arrange to come help!
🍏 Bake!
We need cake donations for sale on our cake & cuppa stall. Your favourite autumn fruit recipes, or others sweet treats.
🍎 Bring apples for tasting
Do you know the apple variety growing in your garden or allotment? E.g. Braeburn, Granny Smith, Bardsey, etc. Orchard Cardiff will be holding an apple tasting activity and are looking for even more apples to share. If you can, bring 4 or more apples of the same variety by the beginning of the event and drop them off at the Orchard Cardiff stall.
🍏 Spread the word
Please let your friends and family know – send on the poster, this email etc. And especially – persuade them to join in the fun and volunteer on the day!
🍎 Anything else?
It’s not too late if you’ve got a burning desire to share an idea for an activity you can run on Apple Day – please do get in touch if you’d like to chat.
If you can help with any of the above, please let us know by sending a message to penarthappleday@gmail.com
Looking forward to seeing you there!
