Penarth Town Council is seeking quotes regarding upgrading the Paget Rooms electrical mains. This will entail:
- Removal of all old switchgear and fuse boards
- Identification of all cabling
- Removal of all redundant cabling after the theatre lighting upgrade
- Distribution cables going out to various consumer units in the building to be re-installed via switch fuse connection units.
- Removal of old trunking system and install new.
- Reinstate cables into new 18th Edition consumer units with RCBO protection
- Main incoming tails and secondary tails to be renewed via new trunking system.
- Main incoming SPD (surge protection device) to be installed for protection against surges from external source.
- Minor building works to create better access to the existing area where the electrical equipment is installed and reinstate to as it was after works complete.
- Main earthing to be upgraded.
- Main bonding cables to be upgraded.
- Full test of the building including functional testing.
- Certification upon completion.
