Christmas Lights Switch On – Sunday 17th November

Penarth’s annual Christmas Lights Switch On will this year take place on Sunday 17th November.

An eagerly awaited fixture of the Penarth calendar, this year’s event happens at Penarth Town Centre, Windsor Road, from 3pm to 7pm.

Father Christmas has promised to take time out from his busy schedule to switch on the lights, accompanied by Penarth Town Mayor Cllr Gwenda Roberts.

A packed stage of entertainment is planned, hosted by TV’s Laura Jane Jones and featuring Christmas favourites from the Tenovus Choir, Jools Jofrin Band, Monico, and Sophie Evans.

In the town centre, there are plenty of free activities for the family, with entertainment from Kitsch N Sync Winter wonderland Skiers, festive crafts with Eggseeds and wonders from Pedal Emporium. Fairground rides and games complete the Christmas carnival.

All the family are welcome, to countdown the lights and start the Penarth festive season.

Lights will be switched on at 6pm
