Cllr. Ken Lloyd has been elected as the new Town Mayor for Penarth.
At the Town Council’s Annual General Meeting last Friday, Cllr. Martin Turner proposed Cllr. Lloyd and the motion was seconded by Cllr. Mike Cuddy.
Ken Lloyd has served on Penarth Town Council before and was Deputy Mayor in 2011/2012. Now retired, Cllr. Lloyd worked in industry for many years and is a longstanding member of the community of Penarth, enjoying regular competitive bowls.
Cllr. Lloyd said “I am very proud to be the Mayor of Penarth. I am looking forward to serving the people of Penarth to the best of my ability.”
Ken will be fundraising throughout his year in office. His nominated charities are Cancer Research UK and RNIB.
