Penarth Town Council is developing its activities to further improve this vibrant town.

To support this, we are seeking a passionate and skilled professional with marketing, events and/or communications experience.

Penarth Town Council operates in the Town & Community Council sector, the grass roots of local government.  We are one of 735 town and community councils in Wales, one of the largest that operates across Wales and the second largest in the Vale of Glamorgan.

There is an opportunity to assist the team in driving the projects and plans of the Town Council forward.  The role seeks an experienced, organised and strategic thinker who can develop marketing and the events programme.

You will have a passion for marketing, with good design skills and thorough experience of a variety of marketing and communication channels.

You will have experience of income generation, website management and a high level of customer service.

Penarth Town Council is responsible for several services and venues. These continue to expand with numerous exciting projects in development. Penarth’s events programme continues to grow each year.

Penarth Town Council is at the forefront of driving the town’s success forward.  We seek a team player who can:

  • Deliver an excellent marketing and events strategy
  • Deliver projects and schemes within designated budgets
  • Manage excellent customer service
  • Hold strong IT and communication skills
  • Lead on new initiatives that drive and increase sales for all Town Council venues

 

This is a full time, permanent post.
