The NotMyShame movement was accidentally started by campaigner, survivor and charity founder; Emma Jane Taylor. The purpose of the #NotMyShame campaign is to support survivors of Child Sexual Abuse by turning the tables on shame and by encouraging survivors to find their voice and in doing so find support.

Since 2021, the campaign has grown to include a Facebook Support Group of over 540 members, Celebrity Supporters such as Charlie Lawson, Nadia Jamil, Sonia Poulton, Matt Hoy, and Stuart Antony, with supporters either wearing #NotMyShame t-shirts or white ribbons to show they stand in solidarity with those who have suffered from the traumatic abuse of CSA that takes many childhoods and for some, their entire adult life.

1st May 2024 marks the campaign’s Global Awareness day, aiming to raise awareness for Child Sexual Abuse survivors and the difficulties many have faced, still face and for those unseen and un-supported.
