Janice Birch passed away peacefully in her sleep on 29th January, aged 84. A private committal takes place on Wednesday 12th February, followed by a reception at 3pm in the Paget Rooms. It will be a service to celebrate her life followed by refreshments, and all are welcome.
Janice was a teacher at St. Cyres and Bryn Hafren schools and a long time school governor. She served as Penarth Town Mayor and was a Town and Vale Councillor and Oxfam activist for many years. Janice was a beloved wife of the late John, mother of Rhiannon, Michael, Rachel and Hannah, grandmother of nine and great grandmother of three.
The Paget Rooms will be open to all from 3pm on Wednesday 12th February. There is no need to wear black. No flowers are requested but charity donations for Oxfam or UNICEF are welcome on the day.
