Penarth’s famous symbol is the bear but have you spotted a bear in Penarth’s parks?
We’ve heard reports of bears being sighted in Alexandra Park, so as part of the Summer Festival fun, we’re running a bear hunt there on Saturday and Sunday. From 10am to 4pm, little ones can help us try to spot them around the park. There may even be sweets involved.
Searching for bears can make anyone hungry, so from 12pm to 2pm each day, we’re encouraging families to picnic and enjoy the weather in this beautiful park overlooking the sea. There will be ice cream and face painting to keep us all busy too.
There’s plenty more fun down on the Esplanade and some great food vendors to stock up on your picnic food.
We look forward to seeing you there.
No bears will be harmed in the bear hunt.
