Automatic doors and a platform lift have been installed at West House, the Town Council’s offices, to improve access to services.
Penarth Town Council’s administrative offices are on the first floor, where services including recycling supplies, hiring enquiries, and other council information can be accessed.
Town Clerk, Emma Boylan, said “Penarth Town Council is delighted to be able to offer visitors to West House the chance to access the Council’s services on the first floor via the newly installed platform lift. The Council is keen to be more accessible to the people of Penarth and this is one of many steps being taken to achieve this”.
West House is the former residence of gentleman’s outfitter, Mr F. Jotham and is built on the site of a former farm. Penarth Town Council services, including recycling supplies, hiring of venues and other information, are accessed from a desk on the first floor.
