Men Walking and Talking is a local community initiative that brings men together for a friendly, informal walk every Tuesday evening in Penarth.

The group was set up to help end the stigma around men’s mental health by creating a regular, safe space for men to connect, talk (if they want to), and support one another.

There’s no pressure to share anything – some people come for the conversation, others simply enjoy the company and the fresh air.

Each walk lasts around an hour, taken at a relaxed and steady pace. The group meets at the Plymouth Park Car Park near Cogan Tesco, and walks take place in all weathers, throughout the year.

There’s no need to sign up, no fees, and no commitment – just turn up, say hello, and walk with us. It’s open to all men, regardless of age or background.

Men Walking and Talking – Penarth has been running for nearly two years and continues to grow steadily, helping more men feel connected and supported within the local community.

If you or someone you know could benefit from a gentle walk and some good company, please do come along or help spread the word.
