The Vale of Glamorgan Council have begun work on their new Corporate Plan for 2020-25 which sets out how the Council will achieve their vision for Strong Communities with a Bright Future.

“We’ve an ambitious programme of activity for the next five years with a strong emphasis on working in partnership to improve local well-being.
In developing the Plan we have considered a range of information including how the population will change and the services we currently deliver and will need to in the future.
We have listened to what partners and local residents have told us about their priorities and what matters to them.
We have also taken stock of the progress we’ve made to date in delivering the current Plan.
This has led us to draft four new objectives which set out what we will look to achieve in the coming years. We are confident that by meeting these objectives we will make significant progress towards our vision for strong communities with a bright future.
The proposed new objectives are:
- To work with and for our communities
- To support learning, employment and sustainable economic growth
- To support people at home and in their community
- To respect, enhance and enjoy our environment
