Thanks to Co-op members, the Santa Clause Benevolent Fund has received over £1000 in donations.
The Santa Clause Benevolent Fund was set up in the 1920s to provide food parcels to those most in need in the community. Since then, it has worked with the Penarth Round Table to distribute packages at Christmas time, making the festive period a little easier.
The donations from the Co-op Local Community Fund will be put towards additional parcels this Christmas.
