The Royal National Institute for Deaf People are looking for volunteers to provide support and friendship as part of their befriending service. They are currently looking in and around the Vale of Glamorgan so that when they move to offering face-to-face befriending, they have local volunteers who can support local service-users. Currently their volunteers can phone service-users each week or write letters on a regular basis, providing essential companionship for those who are lonely, socially isolated or who may not be able to leave their home easily.
