An initiative launched to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday in June will see cities, towns and villages across the UK undertaking to ‘Clean for the Queen’.
The campaign to pick up litter, and tidy up infamous ‘grot spots’ in your local area will take place during the first weekend of March and Penarth Town Council is seeking volunteers to take part in a litter-pick on Saturday 5th March 10am – 1pm. All equipment will be provided.
The Town Mayor, Councillor Rosemary Cook, said “I urge everyone to consider taking part in this event, enabling us to express pride in the beautiful town of Penarth and prepare for the Queen’s 90th birthday.”
Volunteers will be asked to meet at West House at 9.30am on Saturday 5th March and will litter-pick and clean signage and graffiti throughout the Dingle Pathway and on to The Esplanade and Cliff Top.
Everyone is very welcome to take part and should register in advance by emailing enquiries@penarthtowncouncil.gov.uk or filling in the form below.
