Penarth Town Mayor, Ian Buckley with Wayne James at last weekend’s ‘Yano’ charity golf day at Dinas Powys Golf Club.
A competitive day of golf was followed by a just as competitive evening of celebrations. The golf was won by the all star team captained by Ryan Packer, with a Texas scramble score of 49.5! Mr Packer also had ’closest to the hole’ but unfortunately it was on the 18th tee!
Town Mayor, Cllr. Ian Buckley expressed his thanks to all that attended:
“A massive thank you to Dinas Powys Golf club who hosted the event, Sharon and Babs at the Tesco community team, everyone else that donated prizes, all the golfers, all the non golfers and staff. I am so grateful to everyone that came along and supported my chosen charities.”
A grand total of £3,122.50 was raised for the Mayor’s charities, The Amelia Trust Farm and Woody’s Lodge.
