SUMMARY:Oyinkan Braithwaite: Cursed Daughters
DESCRIPTION:It’s our pleasure to welcome Oyinkan Braithwaite to Penarth to celebrate the publication of Cursed Daughters – the hotly anticipated follow-up to her global bestseller My Sister\, the Serial Killer – a powerful new novel of broken hearts\, unbreakable curses\, and the dark pull of family legacy. \nCursed Daughters:\n\nNo man will call your house his home. SUMMARY:Penarth Ministry Area | Prayer Vigil for Palestine
DESCRIPTION:In response to the ongoing genocide in Gaza\, Penarth Ministry Area is organising a Vigil of Prayer at All Saints Church\, Victoria Square\, on Sunday 5th October between 6 and 9pm. Those attending are asked to wear red or bring something red so that we can join in with Christian Aid’s ‘Red Line for Gaza’ campaign and form a symbolic red line outside the church. \nDuring the three-hour vigil there will be some intermittent readings and prayers but also plenty of time for silent reflection and prayer\, and the chance to light a candle of hope. All are welcome to join us for all or part of that time to pray for the desperate people of Gaza\, for the aid agencies working in the region\, for the release of all hostages and for a route to lasting peace in the Middle East – please drop in for however long you can spare.
