The AGM will last approximately 30 minutes and unless anyone actually WANTS to get involved with the committee then there will be no attempts to co-opt anyone! By the same token anyone who is interested would be most welcome.
Speaker will be Dan Brown who is promising an ‘archaeological dig’ through the recently rediscovered archives of The Penarth [Civic] Society that show its history of activities from the early 80s up until the early 2000s.
We’ll be exploring documents and displays as a way of trying to learn what the PCS did, why it was formed and who was involved.
We will also be celebrating a 40 year anniversary of the campaign to save a historic town building that started it all.
This is also a tie-in event to a full exhibition showcase of these items in September where visitors will be able to explore them themselves.
